Who We Are
SmallBizWebs.comSM, a division of The JBI Company, Inc., is a small company that gives personal attention to each of our valued clients. We are led by a husband and wife team with a strong background in technology and creative talents whose combined experience totals more than 40 years. We set ourselves apart by working directly with the client on a one-to-one basis. This ensures that our clients' ideas never get "lost in the translation" between their vision and the designer's hand.
Jackie Brown, Internet Marketing Specialist
Jackie has always had a love for design and writing. Her creative skills are used in designing Web graphics, her writing talents make your business's marketing materials come alive, and her Internet marketing specialization insures your website gets discovered by the right visitors.
No stranger to technology, Jackie was previously employed by Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), a leading systems integration consulting firm, where she designed and authored computer software training manuals and conducted software training sessions. She earned a BS degree in Office Systems Administration and an AAS degree in Legal Studies. Jackie donates her design and writing talents, including her self-published cartoon cat book, to S.A.F.E. Haven for Cats, a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Joe Brown, Internet Technology Specialist
Joe has been actively involved with computing technology ever since his first programming class in high school, back in 1977. Officially entering the Information Technology profession in 1983, Joe's experience includes eleven years at a major corporation followed by five years with an award-winning advertising agency, finally leaving the post of Chief Technology Officer to join JBI full-time.
Early in his professional career, Joe found himself seeking an additional outlet for his creative and technical abilities. In January of 1988, Joe started his own part-time business, JBI Consulting & Design. Successfully assisting clients with their computing and graphics needs, this business grew into The JBI Company, Inc. Joe has worked (and played) with nearly every aspect of technology available. From programming and database development to animation and digital video, Joe's expertise results in the perfect solutions for your business image needs.
